As a center of business, education, finance, health care and industry, the Twin Cities is considered a competitive market for all aspects of mass media. Five daily newspapers are published: the Star Tribune, the Saint Paul Pioneer Press, Finance and Commerce, the Stillwater Gazette (published Monday through Friday) and the Minnesota Daily, the student newspaper of the University of Minnesota. In addition, many regional magazines and weekly newspapers are published in the area, most of which are suburban or neighborhood publications.
